Projects, Events, News; Not Particularly New

Haven't updated my life lately on this here "blog", but it seems to be the style of the times. Some wheels rolled out of Spaceman's Custom Wheelhouse, but just a couple I managed to take pictures of. The Hellyer Destroyer So here's a spiffy wheelset for a little girl's Hellyer destroying track whip. Apparently Suzue Promax hubs are back on the market, and after guilt-tripping Velocity about a lack of variety in 650c rims, I scored a pair of these red beauties. Tied together with double butted Sapim spokes, everything comes together quite nicely! Suzue back in production Let's get rad We also found the enigmatic Kenisis fork designed for a 650c wheel and no rake!!! (Thanks Justin!) As weird as it seems, we've heard reports that it handles nicely despite some toe overlap with little feet. Hey, who doesn't? Also laced up some spiffy tubeless 819 disc rims to some WTB hubs for the Commencal Meta 5.5 I've been shredding the gnar with. Hey fucko, I can rock a dual squishy bike, in between my Suntour friction shifting worship of course... News on the lycra front, the long awaited Cog Cycles road bike is done and burning rubber in North America. Cog Cycles For those of you not familiar with Cog, it's not same as the fixie style megazine from Milwaukee, but the boys down south in Australia. Ewan Gellie runs the torch and Dam-O designs the rippingest crackers of mountain bikes in Victoria, Australia. The graphics on this roadie are my own tribute to the land down under, and their greatest natural resource, Vegemite. Cog Cycles It is fillet brazed Kaisei oversized tubing, and since I'm a cheap ass, only 10 speed Campy. The thing rides like a million bucks, smooth stable and occasionally takes flight so I can mingle with the heavens.
